LifeCare Ministry
On the last Sunday of each month, instead of Sunday School, we gather for a one-hour worship service with the residents of Life Care Center of Reno.
Life Care is a long-terhealthcare facility just around the corner from Mt. Rose Church. Many of the residents are unable to gather with a local church in the ordinary way, so we bring a simple service of Scripture, singing, prayer, and encouragement to them.
You do not need clinical training, formal theological education, or special abilities to participate.
Much of this ministry is beautifully simple: showing up, singing with residents, praying, listening, smiling, and being present.
In a world where many people are easily forgotten, presence matters.
Sometimes love looks like a sermon. Sometimes it looks like a song, a handshake, a conversation, or simply sitting beside someone for a few minutes.
